Who are we?
The Hands off Boston Bay group is a coalition of community, environmental, and business groups that are deeply concerned about the impacts a desal plant would have on Boston Bay and the region, not to mention the people who depend on it remaining the pristine treasure it is.
The coalition so far includes: over 50 local business owners, numerous mayors from the Eyre Peninsula region, marine biologist Dr Paul McShane, oceanographer Associate Professor Jochen Kaempf, Owner Cleanseas Kingfish Farm and Chairman of the Fishing Academy Dr Hagan Stehr AO, former Community Manager at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Phil Channon, Peter Teakle of Peter Teakle Wines, Mike Bascombe former Port Lincoln Councilor and business owner, Andrew Wright of Calypso Star Shark Diving, David Wood of Yumbah Aquaculture, and Mark Andrews of EP Seafoods.
